I need 3-D glasses to see the bill

I need 3-D glasses to see the bill

I recently took my family to go see one of the new animated movies.   I didn’t realize that the main animation would be at the ticket office.   With the price being $13 for an adult ticket, and $11 for children, we were out roughly $60 before we even entered the movie theater.   For some of you, that may be a weeks worth of groceries!

If you haven’t prepared yourself with a movie theater snack strategy, you’ll be looking at another $40 bucks worth of goodies if everyone in the family wants a treat.   Now your total tab is up to $100.   If you want to save money on snacks, but get everyone some popcorn, consider bringing a handful of zip lock baggies from home.   Order a large popcorn at the movie (which you get one free refill), and fill up the baggies so everyone has a treat.   Use the refill for you and your wife or partner.   Make sure to bring drinks from home like juice boxes or bottled water.   This will keep your costs down.

It is great that movie theaters are making upgrades to make the experiences, and I can’t wait to see 4-D.   Maybe in those theaters, the usher can just take the money right out of my wallet for me.
