From building blocks to sand castles as a toddler and wood shop projects in junior high, I have been building and designing things “out of the box.  My dad was a packaging machine design engineer and fix it guy that brought the mechanical world to dinner time conversation.

In high school and college I worked for my uncles factory supply company and after college I spent 12 years selling factory tools and equipment to distributors and factories in the SE.

As with most inventors, the ideas keep coming and I’ve worked on researching many of them.  I’ve developed and sold products from two of the ideas, learning a lot along the way.

Past organization leadership skills led me to running the IAG where I get to help hundreds of others gather the knowledge they need for the inventors journey and provide a place where the business community can send friends and clients who need to build a body of knowledge  to make  decisions about their ideas.

I also provide specific knowledge and advice to inventors and entrepreneurs on a retainer basis.

We assist the journey from dreams to enterprise!

Every month, at our general meeting, 70+ people listen to a presentation from an expert in some area of product development, manufacturing, distribution or business development. Sometimes we have inventor/entrepreneurs, with products on the market, share their journey and we learn their lessons from successes and mistakes. The second half of the meeting includes a Q&A session on a related range of topics.

Networking among our members and guests, before and after the meeting, provides a great deal of information, advice, experiences and resources. Services to inventors are provided by some of our vendor members who are attorneys, patent agents, manufacturers, marketing agents, prototype builders, packaging specialists, design professionals, marketing representatives and MORE. They are an important part of the knowledge base for our group.  We provide opportunities to showcase their services and solicit their membership too.

We meet the 4th Saturday of the month.(except November 3rd Saturday  & December when it is on the 2nd Saturday)  Please come as early as 9:30am to get signed in and start networking. The presentation begins at 11:00 AM. The meeting ends about 1PM and Many participants stay for lunch, and beyond for additional networking and learning.  The knowledge you get from other participants is often more valuable that what you learn from our presentation.
