Screwing Off This Weekend

Screwing Off This Weekend

I hope you enjoyed this sultry July weekend screwing as much as I did.  It sure was lots of fun.  No need for the traditional “corkscrew” to open that chilled sauvignon blanc or aromatic pinot noir, just your hands.  Easy open, easy pour, and no problems with “corked wines”, manifested as a strong and unpleasant aroma which has tainted a perfectly fine bottle of wine with a moldy scent caused by what wine geeks call TCA (2,4,6-trichloronisole).

No Cork = No possible cork taint!

Many wineries are utilizing the screw cap as an the alternative closure to natural cork.  Try these delicious wines without fear and don’t think that just because it has been screwed the wine is inferior.  It is of great comfort to know that pleasure awaits!
