College teaches young adults all kinds of life lessons. Without your parents by your side every day, it will likely be the first time your child has complete autonomy over their life. This may be the first time your child will have a roommate. It could be the first time they have a serious partner. With the new found freedom and rigorous course load they are expected to take, should a child be ‘required’ to work while in college? The simple answer is NO.
