Yugster.com

I am always searching for websites where I think you can get a deal or two during the year. Last year I talked a bunch about www.1saleaday.com, and hopefully you scored a deal or two on that website. One website to add to your favorites this year and check daily is www.yugster.com. Yugster offers a daily favorite deal, a watch deal, a yours until gone deal, and will offer other season deals. Every day a new product goes on at 6am EST and when it is gone, it is gone. Here is the trick, if you become a Yugster, you get that offer a day before everyone else. Just log in and you see today’s Daily Offer for the public and today’s Sneak Preview Offer (which is tomorrow’s public offer, assuming it doesn’t sell out). Once you are a registered Yugster, you can also receive several emails per week giving you a heads-up to what we are selling that day ...

Join the mob?

Is the mob coming to a town near you?  If Al Capone was in the business of giving out coupons, he surely would want to add www.scoutmob.com to his gang. Scoutmob is a really cool website that allows you to get mobile coupons that are there to serve the people who live in a local city.  Here is how it works: 1) Scoutmob creates exclusive deals at places locals actually go. 2) You read the deal, and if you like it you enter your phone number and your cell phone carrier.  The deal gets shot out to your mobile phone. 3) You must check your e-mail daily because you get a limited amount of time to claim a deal.  You may have a longer time to actually use the deal. 4) Score the deal and do it again tomorrow. Best of all, if you know of or own a local business you can schedule a deal in your city.   Have ...

Screwing Off This Weekend

I hope you enjoyed this sultry July weekend screwing as much as I did.  It sure was lots of fun.  No need for the traditional “corkscrew” to open that chilled sauvignon blanc or aromatic pinot noir, just your hands.  Easy open, easy pour, and no problems with “corked wines”, manifested as a strong and unpleasant aroma which has tainted a perfectly fine bottle of wine with a moldy scent caused by what wine geeks call TCA (2,4,6-trichloronisole). No Cork = No possible cork taint! Many wineries are utilizing the screw cap as an the alternative closure to natural cork.  Try these delicious wines without fear and don’t think that just because it has been screwed the wine is inferior.  It is of great comfort to know that pleasure awaits! Wines available in Metro Atlanta Kroger / Publix Matua Valley, New Zealand, Sauvignon Blanc Bright green gold in color with citrus aroma of grapefruit, lemon zest and herbal notes. Light bodied, dry crisp ...

Lock Stamp Prices In ‘Forever’

With any overall financial plan, the one silent killer people often leave out is inflation.     Especially when it comes to the actual cost of buying your basic staples like groceries, gas, and utilities. While there has been a substantial increase in business being done on the internet, the United States Postal Service (USPS) may raise prices effective January 2nd, 2011 to 46 cents for the first ounce of a first class stamp.   This would essentially be an 8% increase. How can you make a smart financial decision?   Load up on Forever stamps!  While the cost of a first-class stamp would go up, people who buy Forever stamps at the current 44 cents or at lower prices will still be able to use them without paying the difference.  (source: www.thetimestribune.com) Under the proposed increases, in addition to the 46-cent rate for the first ounce, the cost for each additional ounce would go up a penny to 18 cents. The cost to ...
